"LYNN!!! GET UP!!!! WE HAVE LESS THEN 10 MINUTES TO GET
READY!!!" I screamed at Lynn who was happily asleep on the bunk underneath
mine. She didn’t move when I screamed. Becoming a bit annoyed, I hopped down
from my bunk and threw a pillow at Lynn.
"You dumb ass!" Lynn screeched, throwing the pillow back at me. She
missed and it thumped quietly to the floor.
"Get dressed you lil’ schmutt. We have to leave in 5 minutes!" I
yelled, pulling my favorite outfit out of my closet; a tight white shirt with a
picture of Smurfette on it, dark blue, boot-cut jeans, and black boots.
Lynn dragged herself out of bed and into the bathroom. After 5 minutes, she came
out dressed in a dark green spaghetti-strap shirt and black hip-huggers. She
looked normal and completely awake.
"Lets go," I said, grabbing my car keys and purse. Lynn followed me
and we headed to the airport.
We arrived at the airport in 10 minutes. By that time it was 8:23.
"Wahoo! Just in time!" I exclaimed, looking at the TV screen that
listed the arrived flights. Brian’s flight was listed. I grabbed Lynn’s arm
and rushed her to the terminal.
"LLLLLLLAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!! OVER HERE!" a voice
screamed.
I stopped right in the middle of all the airport traffic to see Brian Littrell,
standing on a chair, waving like an idiot. I smiled and pulled Lynn over to
where Brian was.
Brian hugged me tightly and I never wanted to let go. I had to after I noticed
Nick and Lynn staring, amongst them a few strangers had stopped to look.
"Well, I’m guessing you’re happy to see me!" I exclaimed,
completely forgetting that Lynn didn’t know the truth.
"Wait, you two know each other?" Lynn asked with a confused look.
"No, we’ve just talked once or twice. That’s all," Brian covered
for me. He must have known that I’d slip.
"Okay," Lynn said confused. Then she turned to Nick and screamed. A
few other people began to stare.
"Shh! Calm down! Don’t make a scene!" I ordered. Lynn blushed and so
did Nick.
"Aww, look, they’re blushing," an old lady said with a grin.
Nick snarled something and then turned to Lynn. "So, you must be
Lynn," Nick said simply.
"Yeah…and you’re…Nick Carter…Wow!" Lynn said, trying hard not
to faint.
"That’d be me. What’s up?" Nick asked, acting normal.
"Hmm, lets see. I’m meeting the man of my dreams…oh ____. Did I
actually just say that?" Lynn asked, embarrassment crossed her tanned face.
"Um, yeah. I think you did," Brian laughed and then smiled his
heartwarming smile.
"Okay, how about we go back to my house and you guys can get settled?"
I changed the subject so that Lynn would no longer have to deal with
embarrassment.
"Great idea. Come on," Brian said, grabbing my hand.
"Do you guys have any baggage?" Lynn asked, looking to Nick for an
answer.
"Nope, we’re real men. We can carry our stuff with us," Nick joked.
"That’s what makes a man? Ha! I must be Superman then!" I exclaimed.
Brian squeezed my hand and smiled.
"Shut up LaLa," Nick hissed.
"LaLa? Real creative Nickers," Brian defended me. I grinned, silently
thanking him. I didn’t want to get into a huge fight with Nick the first day
he was here. Nick however was now mad at Brian for using the nickname "Nickers".
He dropped his grudge shortly, he could never stay mad at Brian.
"Can we drop this discussion?" Lynn asked, trying to be civil.
"Yeah, sure," Nick obliged.
We all got into my car. Brian and I were up front, Nick and Lynn were in the
back. The 4 of us arrived at my house 20 minutes later and then we went inside
to get the guys settled.
